The University of Melbourne Research Training Program Scholarship 2023 is offering to exceptional students who wish to enroll in a Master’s by Research degree or a doctoral degree program. The scholarship is provided by the Australian Commonwealth Government and the University of Melbourne and is open to both Australian/domestic and international students. The scholarship covers full fee offset for up to four years for doctoral degree students and a living allowance of $34,400 per year pro rata for up to 3.5 years for doctoral degree students.
In addition, successful applicants will receive a relocation grant of $2,000 for students moving from states or territories other than Victoria or $3,000 for students moving from outside Australia and overseas student health cover (OSHC) single membership for international students who require a student visa to study in Australia.
The following are the eligibility criteria and application procedures for the scholarship:
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be Australian/domestic or international students.
- Applicants must have applied for and meet the entry requirements for a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne or be currently enrolled in a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne.
- Applicants must provide proof of English Language proficiency.
Application Procedures:
- Applicants who have applied for admission to a graduate research course by the application closing date for that course do not need to apply for this scholarship. Within seven days of having submitted their course application, they will receive confirmation that they will be automatically considered for a range of graduate research scholarships.
- Applicants who have received an offer for a graduate research course and deferred commencement of their course to the following year, or are currently enrolled in a graduate research course for which they seek a scholarship, need to submit an online application form.
