Fully-Funded Rotary Peace Fellowships: How to Apply and Qualify

Rotary International Masters/Certificate Program

The Rotary International Masters/Certificate Program is a fully funded academic fellowship that selects up to 90 peace and development leaders from around the world each year. The fellows pursue a Professional Development Certificate Program or Masters’s Degree Program related to peace and conflict resolution and prevention at one of the participating peace centers in the USA, Japan, UK, Australia, Sweden, or Uganda.

The program is open to global peace and development leaders who have an undergraduate degree and meet the eligibility criteria. Up to 50 fellowships for master’s degrees and 40 for certificate studies are awarded annually.

The Rotary Peace Fellowship is designed for professionals with work experience in international development or peace and conflict prevention and resolution. Applicants must have three years of related work experience for the master’s program and five years of related work experience for the certificate program.

They must also demonstrate leadership skills, have a strong commitment to cross-cultural understanding and peace, and be proficient in English.

The fellowship covers tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship and field-study expenses. Fellowship recipients may not study at a Rotary Peace Center in their home country, with the exception of candidates from Uganda, who may attend the center at Makerere University.

The deadline for candidates to submit applications to their respective Rotary districts is 15 May 2023. Applicants should visit the official website for detailed information on how to apply for this scholarship.
